Meet Rex! This handsome lad is being fostered in Athens TN. Out of state welcomed to apply. Some north east and Great Lakes areas we may have transport available for additional fee. This kiddo is a pure bred German shepherd that came from a breeder. He appeared to have issues with his fro t keg at the time and they couldn’t sell him. We took him to our vet and had X-rays and evaluation done and thank goodness it’s nothing major. He has puppy growing pains. A condition that affects some xl breeds primarily German Shedherds. It’s called PANOSTEITIS. He should grow out of it and it happens when they have rapid growth spurts. It can be painful but our boy is a Champ and is already walking normal. He was also very malnourished which could play a role in how poorly he was developing. He needs to gain some weight and we are working on that and deworming him which should help him tremendously. He is very playful and very sweet. He loves to cuddle and is very smart he is your typical GS and we are seeking a home that will be able to match the needs and energy he will have. He will require an additional refundable deposit for neuter. Because of his prognosis and size we want to be sure to allow him to grow and his hormones to help with his growth. We will require neuter to be done at a later date to give him time to mature. You will receive the deposit refunded once he is neutered. Apply at petpath.org
