Introducing Riley!
This sweet little lady has been failed THREE times already in her short life. It is hard to imagine how that could happen since she is still only a puppy at 1 year old, but just goes to show you how bleak conditions are here in Texas for dogs. Riley was found as a stray as a teeny tiny 5lb puppy, adopted then found months later as a stray again. She was adopted a 2nd time and returned by her 'family' to the shelter. Her 2nd adopters actually requested she be euthanized!! If you are thinking to yourself...WAIT WHAT? WHY? Same.
Her foster family saw that she was on the euthanasia list at our local shelter and wanted to help her make it out alive. Enough is enough; this time she deserves a good life and a family that won't give up on her.
Per her foster, Riley is the perfect house guest and they adore her. She is chill and well behaved girl. She likes all dogs (her foster has 3 ranging in ages and sizes) and humans she has met including the little tiny toddler ones. She is already potty and kennel trained and super smart. She has soulful little eyes that crave love and attention but her true happy spot is curled up with her human on the couch. She is estimated to be 1yr old and is the perfect smedium size weighing in at 30lbs. Google image says she is kelpie mix, the shelter said GSD mix, but of course we don't know for sure. She has cool brown undertones in her fur and absolutely adorable.
