My Story

Ringo is a sweet, handsome three-year-old husky who was found as a stray and never claimed. He is very friendly and leans into you for pats. He loves to go on long walks and would love an active owner. He's also great in the car! He will be neutered on 3/14/24 and is fully vetted. The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt If a dog is listed on our website, he/she is still available for adoption, but there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs five years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you want to be considered for a dog you see in our care. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
