River

River is a 3-4 year old looking to find someone to give her a chance. She has been here for a year, ever since she was left on the bank of the Missouri River in January of 2024. River is still very playful and her play style would be described as rough and rowdy. When we’ve introduced her to dogs on leash, she definitely wants to play. She is a very vocal player. River does have barrier reactivity. I have no idea what her life was like before she came to the kennel, but she gets nervous around new people when she’s stuck in her kennel. As soon as you let her outside to run, she’s just a big goofball. River would love someone who is willing to meet her and not shy away from her vocalizations and would be willing to love her as she learns how to be a dog. She’s so goofy and I know her furever home is out there.
