My Story

Meet RJ, a 4-year-old Sharpei-Beagle-Lab mix who's as smart and loving as he is adorable. He can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and loves to cuddle once he feels comfortable. RJ has lived with older kids and did well, making him a great fit for families with kids 10+. RJ has experience living with both large and small dogs and gets along well, though he may try to hump new dog friends during introductions. He does guard food and treats from people and animals, so he'll need to be fed and given snacks separately to keep everyone happy and safe. Surrendered because his owner didn't have enough time for him, RJ is ready for a home that can give him the attention he craves. If you're looking for a sweet and loyal companion, RJ might just be your perfect match! If you're ready to adopt now and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt. **the below two methods are slower than visiting us** Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us ([email protected]) for more information about a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter
