Im Rocky, a super petite Husky/Malamute mix with a unique wooly coat thats as soft as a cloud. I may be small for my breed, but my personality is larger than life and I have a heart as big as my dreams. Im ready to find my forever home where I can finally settle down and shine. Most of my early life was spent confined to a crate, which left my legs a bit weak and my spirit yearning for more. It also contributed to me being much smaller than typical for my breed. I get tired quickly, so I need to take things slow and build my strength gradually. The good folks at the ortho clinic believe that with time and gentle exercise, my muscles and tendons will grow stronger. Im also learning the ropes of stairs and working on not slipping on slick floorsthough I could use a hand in keeping my pads trimmed for better grip. My vision is a bit of a puzzle. I bump into things and have trouble judging distances. I need a safe, supervised space to navigate comfortably, avoiding steps and tricky terrain. I also need eyedrops a few times a day to help with my vision. In a couple of months, Ill have another check-up to see if my eyes have improved enough for a better look. Until then, I'll need lifelong vision care. Despite my challenges, Im a bundle of joy with a love for life. I adore playing with toys, though I might not always fetch them because my sight isnt the best. Im great with kids and most dogs, though Im still learning the subtle art of doggie play. I love car rides and have recently discovered that Im quite the fan of swimmingwho knew? I enjoy napping and snuggling with my humans and canine pals. While Im okay in a crate, Id really prefer to sleep with my family, where I can share my warmth and affection. My wooly coat does need some upkeep to stay in top shape, but its a small price to pay for such a unique and snuggly companion. Even with everything Ive been through, my spirit is as sweet as ever.
