Hi, my name is Rocky! I'm a RED pawprint, which means I need an experienced home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Energetic, adventurous, friendly, rambunctious
-Can Live with Kids: Kids ages 16+ (he can be sensitive to handling and has no prior experience with children)
-Can Live with Dogs: Rocky is still working on his manners and would do best as an only dog until he's better socialized. He'd benefit greatly from some responsible socialization with other dogs in a controlled setting (ie. with help from a trainer).
-Can do Apartment Living: No apartments, condos, trailers, or tiny homes! Rocky will need a home with a yard (preferably fenced).
-Potty Trained: Yes
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, at least one private lesson
-Energy Level: High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter
-Additional Information:
Rocky is a large German shepherd/husky mix who's got just as much energy as you think he does (a lot - he has a lot of energy)! Rocky's perfect person is active, outdoorsy, and adventurous! This handsome boy would love to tag along on all your outdoor escapades - hiking, skiing, biking - he wants to do it all! Because of his breed mix, Rocky will need a specific home with people who are equipped to handle a large, energetic working breed. He needs some help refining his manners and would do best with someone who has patience, dog experience, and plenty of time to dedicate to his training. We recommend whoever adopts Rocky has experience with northern breeds or German shepherds. Prior dog experience required for adoption.
