**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. Meet Rocky, a 6 1/2 year old, 50 lb male Lab mix. Rocky is very smart. He can be left alone and he doesn't chew on things or have accidents. He gets along with other dogs and doesn't shed much. He LOVES car rides and hikes. He does well on a leash but is normally off leash. He'll explore the outdoors but he always keeps his human in sight (herding instincts I think). He's never run away but he'll chase after a squirrel or deer if the opportunity presents itself. He'd do well in a home without a lot of commotion. He loves attention so being an only pet would be fine (he's currently in a house with another dog). He gets along with kids but sometimes their unpredictability makes him nervous.  Complete you online application now to meet this stunning boy! We are presently not holding our regular Saturday adoption clinics due to the Covid-19 virus. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
