Adopt Rod! This handsome boy is a 7-year-old, mixed-breed pup who weighs 71 lbs. When we rescued Rod from a local shelter, he had a very large ulcerated mass on his hind leg that needed immediate removal. After needing three different surgical revisions, he is officially healed and ready to meet his people! Rod is a lovable boy, who truly thinks he is a small lap dog. He will happily sit in your lap while you pet him, occupy himself with his toys, and lounge around whenever he can. Rod completed a training program with one of our training partners and worked on his leash manners and basic commands. He’s proven to be eager to please and has made such amazing progress. Rod is now in a loving foster home where they are continuing to enforce what he has learned. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and the absolute best boy in the home. His foster says he is doing amazing and is such a great dog! He’s been the best companion who enjoys his daily routines of neighborhood strolls and nap time. Rod will need adopters who can continue training with him and provide him with the structure he has thrived with. He would prefer to soak up all the love and live as the only dog in his forever home.
