My Story

From Ronan's foster: "Ronan is a great girl who loves people. She loves playing with other dogs and humans, but will wait patiently until she gets a play bow or sneeze to start. She has never slept on the bed, just couches and even though she would love to wake you up excitedly each morning, she will let you sleep in. She is equally happy taking a sunny nap, spending time with her humans getting love, attention, a belly rub and her face/eyelids rubbed or going for a walk and sniffing things. Her fur is much softer than traditional labs, so you'll enjoy giving her pets as much as she does. She is extremely well behaved, mostly due to being very food motivated. She will let you trim nails and take a bath without much fuss and enjoys being brushed/groomed. She can sit/stay/break/lay/roll over on command, is easy to walk on the leash (responds to "easy" if she starts to pull) and she can stay/heel/stop/wait/break when faced with other dogs/deer/squirrels even if she is off leash. She has experience backpack hiking and is amazing on trail. She loves riding in the car with her head out the window, and has spent time in busy/public settings and handles noise/distractions very well. She has been unreactive to a variety of children coming up in public to pet and say hi to her, so she can likely handle a home with kids." Ronan has displayed struggles with separation anxiety, and would benefit from a forever family that is well prepared to work on these things with her. We do believe that Ronan's qualms with loneliness could be aided by another doggy companion, but this is not to say she could not learn just as well in a home without other dogs. If you are interested in learning more about Ronan's soft spot for loneliness (and hopefully even more interested in her many wonderful traits), please email [email protected]. To meet Ronan, please fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website. We would be thrilled to introduce you to the lap Clifford of your dreams. Ronan is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175.
