My Story

Rosie is a stunning 6-month-old Rottweiler with a personality as big as her heart! She’s brimming with love, energy, and enthusiasm, ready to bring joy and excitement to the perfect family. Here’s what you need to know about Rosie:     •    LOVES People: Rosie absolutely adores humans and thrives on affection. She’s also a big fan of belly rubs and giving kisses!     •    Kid-Friendly: Rosie does well with children, though her spirited puppy energy makes her better suited for families with older kids.     •    Very Spirited & High Energy: Rosie is bursting with life and thrives in an active home where she can burn off her energy with exercise, play, and mental stimulation. She’ll need a family who can keep up with her enthusiasm and help her channel it in positive ways.     •    Housebroken & Crate Trained: With structure and routine, Rosie is fully house-trained. She can stay in her crate for 6-8 hours with no accidents.     •    Knows Her Basics: Rosie already knows sit, down, and off (most of the time) and is eager to continue learning and showing off her smarts.     •    Still Learning: Rosie has incredible potential, but she’s still very much a puppy who needs consistent training, redirection, and guidance to grow into her best self.     •    Dog Dynamics: Rosie hasn’t yet learned how to play properly with other dogs and can be pushy at times. She’d do best with confident, neutral large-breed dogs who can’t be bullied and will model good behavior for her. Consistent redirection will also help her develop better manners around other dogs.     •    Not Suitable for Small Dogs or Cats: At this time, Rosie is not a good fit for homes with small dogs or cats. Why Rosie is Special: Rosie is more than just a puppy—she’s a spirited, high-energy girl with a heart full of love and a world of potential. It will take a special family to harness her amazing qualities and transform her life. The rescue is determined to find her a family who will love, cherish, and value her forever—a family that will commit to helping her grow into the incredible companion she’s destined to be. Rosie has so much love to give, and in the right hands, she will blossom into a loyal, affectionate, and unforgettable member of the family. Are you the perfect match for Rosie? Submit an application today and start your journey with this amazing girl! ———————————————————- The adoption donation for Rosie is $350. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention (age appropriate). If you would like to meet this dog, you must have an approved application on file and be willing to travel to the Mahoning County, Ohio area for a meet and greet. All of our dogs reside in foster homes. We do not have a physical shelter. Applications will be reviewed/approved and each dog will be placed in the home that can best meet their individual need. A successful adoption is our goal. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of any dog. We require you call your established veterinarian asap to schedule a wellness visit. —————————- Our applications can be found by clicking on the “adoption application” link at https://apaprescue.com We recommend using a computer, laptop or tablet to fill out the application. Questions do not always show up in full on a phone. Leaving a field empty will result in the application not processing. If you get a grey screen, scroll down to see which field you left blank. Follow the prompt to continue. ————— **IMPORTANT ** Please note that when you use the “start an inquiry/introduce yourself” feature it is NOT an application to adopt. Adoption donation policy effective 1/1/23: Under a year - $350 cash/check $360 PayPal/Venmo Adult (1-9) - $250 cash/check $260 PayPal/Venmo Senior (10+) - $200 cash/check $210 PayPal/Venmo We apologize for the inconvenience of a service fee if you are using PayPal or Venmo. Each year we lose hundreds of dollars for their service fees, and their fees continue to rise. Every dollar matters and those lost dollars means less dogs we can fund and help. We are a 100% volunteer group that utilizes foster homes. We do not have a shelter/building. Thank you for understanding.
