PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION RUBY IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR IOWA CITY, IA. Ruby was rescued from a large-scale dog rescue after being cared for by an elderly man who recently passed away. When his son reached out to find homes for the dogs, Ruby was given a chance to start fresh—and now she’s looking for her forever family. Ruby is crate trained, super docile, and incredibly sweet. While she’s a bit shy at first, she’s really starting to come out of her shell and show her true personality—one that’s full of love and loyalty. She’s great with other dogs, and what makes her even more special is how exceptionally good she is with small dogs. She’s also been fostered with horses, goats, and pigs and doesn’t pay attention to them. Ruby is wonderful with kids who are respectful of animals and would thrive in a home where she can be part of the family. She’s looking for someone who will continue to help her build confidence and provide her with the love and care. Health Update: Ruby is heartworm positive, which is common among strays in the South. The good news is that she is completing treatment and is on her way to being heartworm negative soon. If you have any questions about her health, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email. Ruby is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350.
