Ruby urgently needs a new home. Valentine K9 Rescue is helping Ruby's owner find a loving home. Her owner has serious health issues and each day is getting to be more difficult for her to manage. When she takes Ruby outside, she has to wear a backpack with an oxygen canister. I have several videos of her that the owner sent and she is a super good at entertaining herself with toys. Reach out to the email below and ask for a link to the videos.
Ruby deserves and craves more human interaction than her owner can give her. She is a good girl with no anxiety, not much barking, doesn’t cry or scratch at the sunroom glass door that leads into the kitchen. She plays great by herself with squeaky balls, ropes, puzzle games, and whatever else you give her. She gets along with other dogs, children, and adults. Ruby has access to a doggie door to go in and out. She doesn’t go crazy at the fence when she sees the cats, but it is still questionable if she gets along with cats. She loves hugs! Ruby would love a yard to run around and adventures like swimming in a pool or the lake because she loves the water. Ruby is smart and knows many commands. She is patient but also loves to play. She entertains herself with toys and balls, but she would love to hangout with you and do some fun activities, and she loves the water. She rides well in the vehicle.
Ruby loves other dogs, but small ones may not love her energy. She met the neighbors and was friendly with children and adults. Ruby doesn’t bark a lot. No reaction to vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, gunfire, or vehicles driving by, housebroken and crate trained.
Ruby loves a good scratch all over. Ruby is a smart girl and she does listen. She will sit but not stay. She sits for her food, and if the door leading outside is closed, she will sit at the door for owner to open it. She knows "inside/outside, come, no, out" (when she gets in the flowerbeds), and she shakes hands.
Before Ruby had full access to the doggie door, she was confined her Owner's sunroom with zero accidents. She loves to be outside, but she will need some tough toys to play with, or better yet a playmate her size or bigger. She has a lot of energy. Ruby is 2 yro and 55lbs.
Ruby is located in central AR. Her adoption fee of $300 INCLUDES her transportation up north. We adopt lots of our rescues in the New England area states and transport them to their new owners via one of our three regular transport companies. We actually prefer to transport our dogs to the New England states.
Interested in adopting, but not sure how that works if you're out of state? Its actually pretty simple! We host video chat calls with our rescues and potential adopters so you can get an idea of the dog's personality and mannerisms. We have an indepth application that helps us make a good match between adopter and rescue. We can walk you through the process and find the location nearest to you where our transport stops.
