My Story

Scarface, now commonly known as Rudy has left his past life in the review mirror as he strives for a more positive future and hopes to fulfill his dream of one day becoming a forever pup. This week was a milestone for Rudy as it was the first time he has ever been invited to live inside a home. Needless to say the comfy and cozy confines of a home did not take long to get use to. Rudy has loved all the home life has to offer, people and pups included. He is still learning boundaries with space so for now he doesn’t have furniture privileges, but instead uses his dog bed or crate. Once afraid of toys Rudy now embraces them. He loves to play fetch or carry around a stuffy. It is definitely a new found love that won’t fade away anytime soon. Love and loyalty could not describe Rudy any better. He easily makes friends and will soon become your shadow. This boy loves to please making him quite obedient and receptive to correction. While Rudy is quickly adapting to foster life mentally and emotionally, his physical appearance is still evidence of his neglectful past. Although he has gained 10lbs since intake this boy is still about 15lbs away from his ideal weight. His coat is rough and flakey due to the lack of nutrition prior to arriving at the shelter. Right now Rudy is on a puppy food and supplement to help aid these issues. It will take time for these issues to reside as he had been neglected for over a year. Our estimate is that Rudy will be about 50lbs at his ideal weight. If you are seeking a moderately active pup that will love you unconditionally email [email protected] today, and ask for Rudy!
