Meet Rusty…If you’re not already in love after seeing this handsome face, let us tell you a bit about this charmer! He is a spunky friendly guy who isn't afraid to play with his fur friends. He has gotten along with every dog he has met while in his foster home and he has quite the pack to play with.
Rusty has been around cats in his foster home and did well but he has never been allowed to run around with them.
Rusty is approximately 1 1/2 years old and we think he may be a chow/shepherd mix. He is a bigger guy weighing 75 pounds but we call him our gentle giant. He is both house trained and crate trained.
Rusty walks well on leash and loves to be out and about. He is super social and would be a welcome addition to any family. He has never been around small children so he might do better in a home with older kiddos. Rusty does love everyone he meets and doesn’t have “a type”.
Rusty is an energetic guy and would love to have daily walks and try some hiking. He loves to be one with nature. He is a confident dog. He loves all types of toys and is playful. If you are looking for a ball dog then he is your guy. Who doesn’t love a good game of fetch?!
Rusty has a love for all things food and treats! He is a smart guy and learns quickly.
Rusty came into rescue after getting lost from his family or maybe abandoned. He waited for days in the same spot for his family. We as rescuers will never understand why this happens to any dog but especially to the good ones!
