Ruthie

Ruthie is a 7-year-old dapple girl that lost her home recently and we are helping her look for a new one. She is overweight and needs to lose a few pounds but because she does not have opposable thumbs herself, we can help her with that. She is friendly around other dogs but has a strong prey drive and does not like cats. She would be a great companion in a home where someone is home a lot and can give her lots of love and yard time with some walks thrown in too. If you think she might be a great fit for your home, let us know and we will arrange for you to meet her. All our dogs are current on vaccinations which include Rabies and Distemper/Parvo, they are spayed and or neutered, have been fecal tested and heartworm tested, and had a dental cleaning if necessary. They are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as needed in rescue. They all will have a microchip that will be registered in the adopter's name and is good for a lifetime with no additional fees. The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home inspection, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for all our dogs is $350. We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs do not require a fence, if they can walk well on harness and leash. Decided by what is best for each dog individually.) We are willing to adopt out-of-state applicants, but you must travel to the foster home location of your dog which is in Omaha or within a 90-minute drive from the Omaha area to meet and travel home with your dog. We do not transport or ship dogs.
