I’m smart, gentle, and already winning hearts with my chill demeanor. Sure, I enjoy playtime, but I’m not hyper—I like to keep things balanced and relaxed. I get along great with kids and absolutely love meeting new people. I’ll happily greet you with playful energy and my signature head tilt that makes it seem like I truly understand what you’re saying. (Spoiler alert: I probably do!) I’m working on potty training and doing well with it. I’m crate-trained, love treats, and I’m a big fan of all kinds of toys, especially flavored bones—they’re the best! When it comes to food, I’ve got no issues—I’m a polite eater. Belly rubs and lap time are some of my favorite activities, but I’d also make an amazing companion dog. Whether you’ve got kids, other pets, or it’s just you and me, I’ll fit right in. My confidence and gentle nature make me the perfect addition to any home. She/He is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. We cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Unless the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will only consider applications that are within 1 hour or 40 miles of Lemont, IL. This is due to the required vetting at our partner veterinarians. If the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will allow adoptions out of state or outside of our 1 hour or 40 mile restriction. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within five days of approval. ADOPTION FEE: $600 (includes spay/neuter must be done when the rescue schedules it at one of our partner vets, microchip, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease ) and a general wellness which includes dewormer, heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention) *Please understand that we will spay/neuter no younger than 16 weeks but it is the rescue's discretion when the dog will get that procedure. We know that some veterinarians recommend waiting depending on the breed's projected size but as a rescue, our goal is to prevent further unwanted, "accidental" litters. Spaying and neutering also have many benefits for cancer prevention and avoiding behavioral problems. The American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association support pediatric spay and neuter procedures for cats and dogs as early as 8-16 weeks of age.
