Meet Salsa, a 1 year old pup looking for his forever home!
Salsa is a very sweet, gentle, and timid boy who just wants someone to love him. We think he's possibly a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix, he's a very small boy at just 8 pounds! He's very quiet and shy, but once he knows he can trust you his personality comes out and he's very playful and silly. He likes to hoard toys, treats, and anything else he can get his teeth on. He also loves to bury himself in blankets – so be careful where you sit!
Salsa was one of a group of dogs Myles Ahead pulled from a shelter who was due to be euthanized on February 1st due to space. He's got a second chance at life!
He's very playful, but when in his kennel he settles in for a nap with zero issues. He unfortunately wasn't house trained but his fosters have started the work training him. He's a relatively quiet pup and doesn't shed very much.
His ideal home is one that is loving, patient, and willing to continue working with him on training. He only wants to have a lap to snuggle on and a bed with blankets he can burrow into. Salsa does well with cats as well as other dogs, although he might need a little time to warm up to them first. He is easily spooked by fast movements so he probably would be best in a home with no kids, or older kids/teenagers.
Fun facts about Salsa:
- Stomps when he's excited
- Burrows into any blanket he can find
- Buries treats in his bed, although he's not very successful
2/11/25 he will be microchipped and get his final vaccines and will be officially ready to go. Will you give this sweet boy his forever home?
