My Story

Meet Salty: A Timid Soul in Search of Love Salty, a delicate and sweet miniature schnauzer, is still learning to trust the world around her. Right now, she prefers the quiet comfort of her kennel and tends to retreat to a corner, asking for space. She needs a kind and patient adopter who will give her the time and gentle encouragement to come out of her shell and grow at her own pace. Salty adores the company of other dogs and finds her confidence and comfort in their presence. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a more confident dog to show her the ropes and help her feel safe. Though she's shy now, with love and patience, Salty has the potential to blossom into the loving companion she's meant to be. If you have the heart and home to help her on this journey, she'll reward you with her quiet, gentle spirit. - - - - - Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
