Samuel

A26724 Samuel is a black and tan colored, approximately 6-year-old, 54-pound, neutered male, German Shepherd. He entered the shelter as a stray on 04-01-2025 and was altered by our medical staff. Samuel is a timid and shy boy here at the shelter. He is still trying to figure out this loud shelter environment and still nervous right now. He hid in the back of his kennel and was clearly afraid of strangers when he first got here. He is getting better about coming up to greet you at the door and not hiding in the back. He was easy to leash and well behaved during our walks. A nice slow walk next to you. Although not a lot of personality shown, we think a lot of it is he is still unsure in this environment. He will need some training as he does not respond to any commands. He has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. He is nervous around new people and although he does like treats, he takes them quickly and even a little rough. He could use more socialization to become his best family member. Samuel will be a loyal companion in his new forever home.
