My Story

I'm a sweet guy, who wakes up happy and loves attention. You can plainly see that I'm impossibly handsome, but did you know that I'm also smart, loyal, and totally committed to being your BFF? From Saxon's foster mom "Saxon has been such a joy to have in our home. He's an easy keeper, very charming and loves his walks. Saxon shows all signs of being house trained. He's cheerful and polite with my 50 pound female pit mix, as well as my husband. He fell asleep on the car ride home and was stoked when we arrived and eager to explore. Saxon enjoys sleeping on the bed but I'm pretty sure he'd be happy anywhere- he just seemed grateful to be out of the shelter. I have a super flexible schedule and am happy to bring him in to meet with potential adopters." 12/16 update from Saxon's foster mom "Saxon continues to make us smile everyday. We've walked for about 45 minutes each day and he shows no signs of tiring. He's very polite on his harness and much better than my dog about walking vs. sniffing. He loves affection and assumes everyone we encounter would enjoy saying Hello, people and dogs alike. Saxon is perfectly behaved when left at home alone, no accidents or destructive tendencies. This happy go lucky guy would make a great addition to just about any home or adopter." Medical History: I am an older dog, so I do have a few minor health conditions that will need to be managed in the home to keep me as comfortable as possible. Please ask an adoptions counselor about this for more information!
