My Story
Meet Scarlett, a 6-month-old Border Collie/Brittany Spaniel mix with a heart as big as her incredible rescue story. This petite (18lbs), brave girl was spotted wandering near a dangerous canyon road for four days, narrowly avoiding traffic and the lurking threats of mountain lions, bobcats, and coyotes. Dedicated rescue workers and locals tried tirelessly to save her, and just when all hope seemed lost, she was finally caught—injured, underweight, and in desperate need of care. With lacerations on her legs and paws, Scarlett underwent surgery and began her long road to recovery. Now, after weeks of healing in a loving foster home, she’s ready to find the forever family she truly deserves.
Scarlett is blossoming into a sweet, affectionate, and playful puppy. She is a velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side, making her the perfect companion for someone who is home often. She absolutely adores children—especially older ones who bring her comfort with their predictability.
For those who love training and engaging with their dog, Scarlett is a dream. With her sharp Border Collie focus and eagerness to please, she’s already mastered sit, down, and touch, and she’s ready to learn more! She’s currently thriving in a foster home with another dog and would do well with a confident canine friend who can show her the ropes and enjoy cuddle time together.
Due to her breed mix, Scarlett would thrive in an active home where she can put her intelligence and energy to good use. She would love a family who enjoys hiking, running, or other outdoor adventures where she can explore the world alongside her people.
