Meet Scout! -8 month old Malinois mix (Breed is just a guess) -Came into the Shelter as a stray so we do not know about her life before the Shelter -Arrived to the Shelter as a stray so we do not know about her life before the Shelter -Was found by our awesome animal control officers in some agricultural fields with two dog friends -After some snacks and sweet talking, staff were able to bring her and her friends in for safety -Looking for a patient adopter to help him transition to indoor living. Things like leash walking and house training may be new for this gentle giant -Has met dogs at the Shelter and has done well -No history with cats or children Now through December 17th, BISSELL Pet Foundations is sponsoring reduced adoption fees and we are participating! Adoption fees for all cats and dogs are reduced to $50. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locations Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end meet and greets (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
