Meet Scrappy! This 5 year old 16lb terrier mix is ready to find his forever family. He was picked up as a stray in Houston and has been breaking hearts ever since! His foster mom says: "Scrappy would thrive best in a family who is around and active, and is an experienced dog owner. Scrappy is energetic! We've seen Scrappy interact with dogs and he's very friendly and will always stop to say hi, he truly just wants to be friends with any person or dog that passes by. Although we haven't seen him interact directly with children there were kids running around in our vicinity and he did not seem bothered in the least. He's currently fostered with a cat. We are working on crate training, but he's great at walking and LOVES long walks. He's probably happiest when he's out in the world able to explore. It does seem like he's had very limited training and because he's so smart, he has a bit of an indomitable spirit. So far he's not been very keen to play with toys, but is very food motivated, so we've been successfully using that to get him more comfortable in his pen. Very active and very alert, his ears are just as antenna-like as they seem. He loves a good head scratch to be given at his bidding. He'll nudge your hand when you've slacked on your ear scratching duties." INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
