My Story

A25577 Sequoia is a brown brindle colored, approximately 1-year-old, 32-pound, spayed female, Pitbull mix. She entered the shelter as a stray on 02-10-2025 and was altered by our medical staff. Sequoia is a timid and shy girl here in the shelter. She is still trying to figure out this shelter environment and why she is here. Our staff describes her as shy and sweet but unsure girl right now. She was easy to leash with minimal pulling and only pulling her away from noise that scares her. She walks very well once outside away from the crazy shelter noise. She will need some training as she does not respond to any commands. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. She will do best in an adult only home with a patient owner who gives her time to decompress. We would recommend no young children right now as she is easily scared, and they may be to much for her. Sequoia will be a loving companion in her new forever home when given the chance to gain trust and confidence.
