Meet Shadow: Your Energetic, Playful, and Loyal Companion! Shadow is a 4 year old, 70-pound bundle of energy and love, looking for his forever home! This neutered, heartworm-negative boy is always ready for fun—whether it’s chasing his favorite toys, romping around with other big dogs, or showing off his obedience skills. He’s eager to please, affectionate, and full of personality! While Shadow can be a little shy with adult men at first, he warms up with patience and kindness. He does best with older kids who can match his playful energy and would thrive in a home with no cats. He’s crate trained, loves his toys, and will be your most loyal sidekick. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, devoted pup who will keep you active and shower you with love, Shadow is your guy! The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
