Owning a dog is not just a privilege; it’s a responsibility. They depend on us for, at minimum, food and shelter, and deserve much more. When you take a dog into your life, you need to understand the commitment that dog ownership entails. So please before you apply be sure you are not just ready for the joy but are prepared for the responsibility.
Before applying to adopt, we encourage you to research the financial and time commitments involved in raising a dog. It’s important to have discussions as a family, especially if this is your first dog. We recommend looking into training options as well.

Please note that adoptions are limited to the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT), and applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Our coordinators will work to match each pets personality and needs with your family’s expectations and experience, so it’s crucial to include any important information in your application.
