My Story
Skye is a 4.5 month old blue merle standard male Aussie with the most gorgeous blue eyes you've ever seen. He has a full tail, and although he is mostly white, he's got stunning markings and no issues with hearing and vision.
Skye and his 3 brothers were born on a farm as an accidental litter, so before they came into foster homes, they didn't know much about living indoors. In the short few weeks that he's been living with his foster families,Skye is learning to be a wonderful house puppy. He is house broken, he sleeps soundly in his puppy pen overnight from 10PM - 7AM, and absolutely loves attention, running to you and wagging his tail if you call his name, greet him after his nap, or sit on the ground and invite him over to you.
Skye was initially very worried about things like going through doors, but he's figured that out quickly, and will follow you anywhere once you're his friend. He's fairly confident and will try new things if you ask him to, such as going up and down the stairs, or jumping up on furniture to snuggle. Skye adores other dogs, has met children and done very well with them, and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and overall rules and structure in his new home, as he's still a puppy with puppy impulses.
Skye is up for adventures and loves to run in the yard, chase after balls and toys, solve puzzles, and steal your slippers or treats bags when you aren't looking. He always keeps a close eye on his humans and prefers to be close by to them, like your typical Aussie.
Skye would thrive in a home with humans that are looking for a devoted Aussie companion and will put in the work to make him the best dog he can be. He would welcome a home with other dogs (although he'd also do fine solo), would be fine with dog-savvy kids who want to be involved in his training, and will need further socialization to build his confidence, get him used to leash walking, and make him a well-rounded doggie citizen.
