My Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Snoop needs to go to a single owner. He attaches himself to ONE person. This could be worked on with time and training, but it will make for an easier transition to adoption if he is adopted to a home of a single person, not a couple***
Meet Snoop, a 10-month-old reddish brown Cockapoo with a personality as bright as his coat! Snoop is looking for a patient and loving family who will help him blossom into the confident, playful dog we know he can be. While he's cautious around new people, Snoop bonds deeply with his chosen person, showing endless affection and joy once he feels safe. He loves car rides, outdoor adventures, and snuggling up on the couch.
Snoop is potty trained and enjoys a good long walk, but he prefers to avoid the hustle and bustle of homes with small children or pets, as he tends to get too excited around them. Instead, he would thrive in a calm environment where he can focus on bonding with his humans. He is NOT food motivated but protective of his food bowl (and toys) with other animals.
One thing to note is that Snoop does have separation anxiety, but with the right support and guidance, this can improve. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, helping him feel secure as he learns to navigate new experiences.
If you're home often, love outdoor activities, and are willing to invest in building Snoop's confidence, he will repay you with loyalty and snuggles for years to come. Snoop is ready to be your new best friend-are you ready to be his?
He will need a consistent owner who will provide the mental stimulation/exercise, structure and safety he needs to continue to blossom. Snoop is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and ready to be a part of his forever family who will meet him where he is at and see his future potential with consistency and a lot of love!! The adoption fee for this dog is $300.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/.
The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care.
Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we're happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you're looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy.
We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal's behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter.
CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract.
CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
