My Story

Here are his details: Snoopy Snoopy is a 12 + year old Shih Tzu whom you never knew you wanted! He is blind, has horrible skin, he is cranky (thus his nickname, Oscar, the grouch), sleeps 20 hours a day, the remaining four hours he barks and begs for food. He is also not overly friendly, no cuddling required! Snoopys has a horrible history, as he was found by the side of a highway, after laying in the heat for several days. When found his skin was so infected that most hair was missing, and his eyes were huge and swollen, and covered in layers of crust, the dry eye that was diagnosed is permanent. That is why he is blind. And cranky, with bad skin ( but a beautiful coat!). On the bright side, he is definitely potty trained, does not require much attention, entertainment, or walks, whenever hes awake is when you take him out to go potty. He requires two medical baths a week, a cytopoint shot every 5 to 6 weeks, and various eye meds 4 to 6 times a day. The application of those eye meds is easy, cleaning his eyes when they are gunky is a little more difficult, but totally doable. He also needs sleepy meds at night as he has sundowners due to his blindness. So if you are a person who would like a very low, and at the same time, a kinda high maintenance dog who requires care, but doesnt really pay you back, he is your guy! If you dont mind a dog, that sleeps 20 hours a day, barks 3-4 hours and needs to be carried in and out for potting, hes your guy! If you want to give a little senior citizen a comfortable rest of his life, this is your guy! There is no adoption fee, but any donation would be greatly appreciated.
