Meet Sofia! This sweet girl was born in January 2024 in La Paz, Mexico, she is a delightful pup who has just arrived in Oregon from our shelter in Mexico. Weighing in at around 21 pounds, we guess she is a a mix of terrier and know she is part dachshund, Sofia is fully grown and ready to find her forever home. Initially, Sofia can be a bit shy as she gets to know her new people, but give her about 4-5 days, and you’ll see her true personality shine. Once she feels comfortable, she transforms into a playful and affectionate companion. Sofia thrives in a home with one or more dogs, as she is very submissive and benefits from the presence of a confident canine friend. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs and is even cat-friendly! Sofia is both potty trained and kennel trained, making her a great addition to any household. Once Sofia warms up to you, she’ll follow you around the house and happily snuggle up on your lap for some cozy Netflix and snack time. She’s eager to find a loving family who can provide the patience she needs to decompress during her first few weeks. She is currently located in Vancouver, WA at her foster's house and is avaible for adoption anywhere in Oregon or Washington. Sofia's adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD. This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico. All our pups come fully up to date on shots, are tested for heartworm and other diseases, microchipped, fecal tested, current on flea medications, and also come spayed / neutered.
