My Story

Hi there, I'm Solo! Life’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for me lately. I became homeless when my owner didn’t come back to reclaim me, and for the past 1.5 years, I’ve been a regular at the animal shelter—so much so that when I’d spot the animal control truck, I’d sit and wait for them to stop so I could hop right in. I know, it’s a little funny, but hey, I’m a good sport about it all. Now, I’ll be honest with you: I’m a fence jumper. My previous owner didn’t have a proper fence to keep me safe, and let’s just say I like a little adventure. But don’t let my super-sized frame and bulging muscles fool you—I’m a big softie at heart. I look tough, but I promise, I’m a lover through and through. I absolutely adore attention and would thrive living indoors where I can be close to my humans. Oh, and I’ve lived with other dogs before, so I know how to share my space. The staff here are checking to make sure I don’t get too excited and rough when I play with other dogs, just to be safe. I do pull on the leash a bit, but with a gentle reminder, I’m happy to slow down and match your pace. So, if you’re someone who can handle a super-sized guy with a giant heart and a ton of love to give, I’d love to meet you. Stop by the shelter—I’ll be waiting!
