My Story

Meet Solo. This sweet girl was surrendered to the rescue with her pal, Daisy, who has already been adopted. Solo was originally found as a stray by her former owner who took her in. Unfortunately, her owner was not committed for the long-term and recently moved leaving both dogs behind with her adult son who already has two dogs of his own. He didn't have the bandwidth to care for four dogs and reached out to our rescue for help. We are happy to help this very sweet and gentle budding senior find a family who will cherish her and give her a true forever home. Solo is currently being fostered as an only dog and doing well. Her foster mom describes her as sweet-natured. She's a calm and affectionate pup who adores human companionship and relishes the comforts of home. The moment she arrived in her new foster home, she sauntered down the hall and jumped in her foster mom's bed, which is now her favorite spot and safe space. She loves snuggling under blankets and will happily curl up beside you for a cuddle. Her gentle paw on your cheek is her way of asking for love and belly rubs. What Makes Solo so special Adaptable and Easygoing: Solo is happy as part of a calm pack and as an only dog. Loves People: While she may seem shy at first, she warms up quickly and bonds deeply with her human. Low-Maintenance: No chewing or destructive behavior when left alone. She's house-trained and lets you know when she needs to go out. Good walking partner: She's good on a leash and meets other dogs and people in a sweet, non-aggressive way. If someone comes her way when walking, she just stops and waits. If they are making loud noises, she'll try to head home. Quiet Companion: Solo rarely barks and only growls at critters like deer in the backyard. Solo thrives in a quiet environment and would love a family with a flexible schedule. While she's nervous around loud noises and fast movements, she'd do well with older children who are calm and respectful. Solo loves spending time with her human and will do best in a home where she can soak up all the love and attention. Whether curling up in the car on her blanket or burying herself under soft covers at bedtime, Solo's gentle soul and loving nature will make her an amazing addition to your family.
