Sombrita

Hi! I'm Sombrita, Sombrita means 'little shadow' in Spanish. I got that name because I follow my foster mom everywhere she goes! I love to play with other dogs, especially if they are a little bigger than me. I live with two cats and wish they wanted to be my friends as much as I want to be their friend! I like them a lot. I haven't really been around children and sometimes they make me nervous if they run up to me unexpected. I'm still a puppy, so I love to run and play! I will fetch a ball or a stick. But after a few tries, I might decide to keep it for myself. I know how to sit and walk on a leash. I am working on 'stay' and 'lay down'. I sleep in my big bed on the covered patio, and get to come and go inside during the day, but never on the furniture. I know to wait until walks to use the bathroom. We go to the park first thing in the morning! Before I was rescued, I escaped a house fire. So, I have two scars on my back. My foster mom says they look like the spots where my wings were. I also had broken leg, so I have scars from my surgery, too. But I'm happy, healthy, and full of gratitude now! If you are looking for a lifelong friend to pal around with, we should get together!
