Meet sweet Sophie, a 1-year-old 37 pound Labrador Retriever mix, who is spending each day learning the true meaning of love and safety now that shes in the care of Home for Good. This gorgeous girl was rescued in Colleton County, South Carolina, and her first year of life hasnt been easy. But each day, she works hard to grow more confident, especially with the help of all her doggy friends. Sophie is really starting to come out of her shell. She is shy with new people but is warming up to those around her, and she really lets her playful side out when shes with other dogs. She gets along really well with her furry friends and loves spending her time playing with them. Shes still adjusting to more human companionships, but each day, she is growing more confident and learning that she is safe and loved now. Shes learning to walk on a leash but is still a bit inquisitive about all the smells and sights and sounds around her. Sophie would flourish in a home with another dog or two who can help her grow more confident and secure.
