My Story
What do you get when you mix a miniature black bear with a bowling ball? The answer, of course, is Sprout. A medium-sized girl with lap dog dreams, Sprout would be a great fit for any family! Recently, she has been living it up in foster home and already has the hang of life outside the shelter: her foster mom reports Sprout is house-trained, happily sleeps in her own bed at night, and is okay with being penned or crated but not anxious or destructive when left loose in the home. She adores her doggy foster brothers and makes a joyful, docile playmate, quick to roll over and give a submissive belly, but shed be okay being an only dog too - above all, she loves people, including kids! Sprout has beautiful leash manners, never pulling, and she prefers a short, sniffy walk followed by a nice long nap. While she is a snuggly, affectionate girl, shes also great at keeping herself entertained (currently, Sprouts favorite toy is a stuffed squirrel: theyre inseparable!) All in all, Sprout is an ideal dog, lovable as heck and easy to care for. Check out the video below for footage from her recent spa day! Sprouts adoption fee has been waived. She is spayed and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing/microchip fee may apply. Santa Fe Animal Shelter is proud to partner with GoodPup!
