MEET SPURZ: Age: 6 years (10/2/2018) Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Weight: 18 lbs Spurz is a charming little Yorkie who was surrendered by his family due to circumstances related to his owner's dementia. His transition to foster care has brought out his sweet and happy nature, and he's ready to find a forever home where he can thrive. Spurz is a friendly and social guy who loves meeting new people. He's good with dog-savvy children and really enjoys the company of other dogs. Recently, he met a cat without any concerns, showcasing his adaptable nature. In his previous home, Spurz was not provided with routine potty time outside, as a result it has allowed his house manners to slip a bit. He's currently working on crate training and may need some patience as he adjusts to proper house training again. He's wearing a belly-band in his foster home to help manage any accidents while he relearns his manners. Spurz has a history of being given table scraps, but he's now focusing on an appropriate canine diet and healthy eating habits. He enjoys going for walks and would do best in a fenced yard where he can explore safely. Spurz is looking for a loving and understanding forever family who will appreciate his playful spirit. He thrives on companionship and loves being with his people, so a home that can offer him the time and attention he craves would be perfect.
