My Story

Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying. Thank you for your cooperation. NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS - NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 11/18/2024: Squeakers - male - Born January 2024 - 11.14 pounds - Maltese/Shih Tzu mix Reason for intake: Squeakers is an owner-surrender. The owner has special-needs children and having difficulty housetraining Squeakers with all of her responsibilities surrounding the children. Squeakers went to our vet on intake for neutering and everything else he needs. When he is done at the vet, we will schedule him for a groom. He's a sweet little guy with the cutest underbite! His owner sent along his favorite toy, a little fox which we will keep with him in his kennel while quarantined after his neuter. Stay tuned! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416768288349589&type=3 OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
