Stan

Stan is the cutest Maltese mix. He's a darling little fellow, approximately 2 years old, weighs ~18lbs with a cream coat and the sweetest haircut that makes him look like a Schnauzer - but he's not! He can be a little shy/cautious when meeting new people, however he warms up and bonds quickly. He likes to be held. He's doing well with housebreaking although he does still mark sometimes - he will be neutered very soon so hopefully that will pass. He gets along with all of the other dogs at the foster. Stan is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He weighs about 18lbs & is a medium energy boy who prefers his small/medium dog playgroup. His favorite thing to do is hang out with you. He is a fantastic lap warmer and doesn’t hog the bed. He enjoys going outdoors and exploring. Stan will thrive with an experienced adopter who's home most of the time (retired or works from home). We'd love to find someone who is confident and knows Maltese and will lovingly teach him commands and tricks. Stan is a sensitive and loving guy with what seems like a rough past that he is quickly learning to leave behind. He would do best in a home with adults only. He does enjoy other dogs large & small and tempers his playfulness accordingly. Having canine companions in his foster home has helped Stan feel more confident & learn the rules/routine of the household quickly. A canine sibling would be nice but not required as his primary focus is on you. A small fenced yard would also be on his request list as he is mastering his house training skills. Stan will be neutered and microchipped on 12/27, he is up to date on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $425.
