My Story

Just when you think you heard the worst story, someone reaches out for rescue help with another unimaginable one. Stryker had the great misfortune to be owned by a terrible human. He kept Stryker and a pit bull puppy locked in a closet, and this was discovered by the police when they came to arrest the owner for unrelated charges. Sadly, the puppy had died and Stryker was not far behind. He was taken to a rural shelter where he was given TLC before they reached out to us to help this deserving husky. We got him here, had him fully vetted, and now he is ready to start a brand new life with humans who will love him and give him the life he deserves. Stryker is extremely handsome 2 year old. He is not a big husky. He is in the 45 lb. range. He has been through trauma, so he is understandably low key and quiet. He is very friendly and loves interacting with people and is good with dogs. Cats unknown. We prefer a quieter household for Stryker, based on his very low key demeanor. Small children would not be a good fit. Stryker is heartworm positive and we have already started treatment. We will see his treatment though to the end at our expense. This dog would be a wonderful companion dog and bring so much joy to your life. He is crate trained and potty trained. ?
