Hi, I'm Stuart my foster likes to call me Stu. I'm a super sweet guy and have a funny personality I am a BIG BOY at a whopping 100 pounds! My paws are the size of a lion paw. I am house trained and am reliable out of the crate when no one is home as long as there is no food in reach (I can get on the counters). I love all food and am very food motivated. I do a happy paw dance when I smell something yummy. I LOVE to play with toys and chew on bones. It's super fun! I throw them around in the air and catch them! Due to my previous life my back legs were extremely weak and sometimes could not hold me up. My foster got me into physical therapy which helped me SO much. I feel like a new man!! I enjoy water therapy and physical therapy while in foster but once I am adopted I hope my forever family will continue these things to help strengthen my legs and body especially when I'm stiff. Don't let my age and weight fool you though, I am ATHLETIC!!!!!!! I can jump a 5 foot baby gate and puppy pen like a breeze, especially if I am determined to get to something on the other side. I make a great hiking buddy as I love new adventures and the outdoors, I am one determined guy that would really love a hike with water I can swim in. I like to chase squirrels/have a prey drive and try to drag my foster to them on walks (we are working on respecting the animals and my fosters arms) so I would do best with someone that can manage my strength! I run around and play with the other dogs in my foster home. I am getting better at changing directions faster too! I get Dasuquin every day in my breakfast to help with my arthritic legs. I have been in foster for a few months now and she has seen a huge change in my mobility. Dasuquin has made a huge difference in the weeks I have been taking it so we recommend my forever family has me take it too. I am a snuggly guy that LOVES attention. I have a big head that takes up your entire lap ha! I absolutely love kids of all ages. I am very gentle with them and I'm the perfect height to give kisses and get head pets and snacks (my fav). I'm such a gentle friendly giant the humans think I would do well with kids as long as they respect that I am a big friendly boy but I am not for climbing on, laying on top of, or riding as if I'm a horse!
