Introducing Stuart! This fluffy fella ended up at a high kill shelter in Houston. He was added to the euthanasia list after only a few days because he was scared and didn't want to walk on leash. Thankfully his foster Mom saw his plea for help and we were able to save him only minutes before his deadline. Now on to the good part...Stuart! Out of the shelter Stuart is thriving. He is the friendliest guy around and loves all people and dogs he has met. He is really into being close to his person and is happy to roll his big fluffy bod over for some belly rubs. He is doing so much better walking on leash and seems to be completely potty trained. When he recently went in for a spa day he didn't make a fuss and soaked in all the attention. He makes friends everywhere he goes and that's the way he likes it. We'd consider Stuart a medium energy pup, as you can tell from the above what he wants more than anything is love and attention. So we think his perfect forever home is one that can give him just that. We've been working on crate training but he absolutely hates it. The discoloration on his nose is most likely from trying to get out of a kennel, so he may have some trauma associated with being kenneled which explains why he isn't a fan. So far it seems like he isn't destructive when left out of the kennel so a kennel free home may be best for him. The shelter estimated Stuart to be 2yrs old and he weighs 70lbs. We do not know his actual breed make up, Golden/Chow just our best guess based on physical features and temperament. What we can tell you for sure is he is the softest and sweetest golden bear dog around.
