Sue

Sue is an amazing girl who was once adopted from a high kill shelter, was then found stray, her “owners” were contacted, and they never returned the shelters’ calls and never showed up for her. This is not uncommon as Sue comes from an area where dogs are discarded and treated like property and trash from many of the individuals in the community. This area is also a common, well known dumping grounds for dogs as well. Thankfully, Sue caught our eyes and our hearts, and we pulled her from that high kill shelter where she had been sitting and waiting patiently for almost a month. Sue is around 3-5 years old and is about 35-40lbs, a perfect small to medium sized girl who is short and stocky! She is amazing in the car and loves going for rides! She does well on the leash but will sometimes pull so we are working more on leash manners with her and she has proven to be easily corrected as she is an obedient girl. Sue is good with other dogs, is good in her crate but may whine at first in a new setting but settles in fairly quickly. Sue is also doing well with potty training in her foster home. Sue is very sweet, friendly with all, and once she settles in and feels loved and safe, she will continue to make a wonderful and loyal companion in her next stop, which will be her forever home! Sue was known at the shelter as the “dancing queen” and we have some cute videos of that and other cute videos of her, too! She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, on preventatives and dewormed.
