While Surge can be a bit cautious and protective when meeting new people, he warms up quickly with a gentle touch and a few kind words. He's made great progress in his foster home and would benefit from some guidance in learning to stay calm when visitors come by. With your help, he'll become the perfect social butterfly!
Surge enjoys short walks and is alert to his surroundings, occasionally getting vocal when he spots new faces. He's also very communicative when it's time to go outside, letting you know he's ready with a little dance or a pee pad if you miss his cues.
This lovable guy does best in a home where he can be the star of the show-he would thrive as the only dog, soaking up all your love and attention. Though he tolerates other dogs his size, he prefers to be the center of your universe. He's not too sure about cats after a surprising encounter, so a feline-free home would be ideal.
Surge is food motivated and will keep you entertained in the kitchen, eagerly awaiting his meal. He's smart and learns quickly, responding to commands like "sit," "no," "potty outside," and "go get your toy." He'll need regular grooming to keep his fluffy coat in tip-top shape, but he actually enjoys being brushed-especially if he can have a toy in his mouth during the process!
