My Story

Hi there! We are Sven & Olaf and we are looking for two very special furever homes after having a very tragic entrance into the world. Sadly, our mom was an outdoor dog that was heartbreakingly attacked by 2 loose dogs while giving birth to us and our siblings. Our mom and our siblings tragically lost their lives, but we’ve fought like heck for ours — now we deserve the BEST! Due to our size and expected activity level, we’d prefer a home with a fenced yard. We’ve been bottle fed since we were just days old by the kind people at the rescue who promised to take good care of us for our poor momma. Our mom looked to be a pitty mix of some sort and was medium size, but we have no idea who our dad was — so, it’s unsure what we may be mixed with. But, we are 100% loveable. We will be ready to leave the rescue at about 8 weeks, the week of 1/29, but meet & greets can be scheduled with us as soon as you have a fully approved application! Applications can be completed using the link below. Please note: virtual home checks and vet checks are part of our application process. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SBVT/Dog Our adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings/fecal testing, microchips with lifetime registration prepaid by the rescue, and being started on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Spay/neuter is also covered by the rescue once we are old enough as long as our proffered clinic is used (located in Westland, MI). We will go home with a Trupanion Certificate good for 30 days of free pet insurance and a VCA Healthy Start Certificate good for a free exam within 14 days of adoption. Any additional vet care post adoption (including booster vaccines and continued heartworm/flea/tick prevention) is the responsibility of the adopter.
