Looking for a SWEET dog who looks like a POTATO? Here she is! Sweet Potato is ready for adoption! She's come a long way since arriving in the fall. She has been treated for heart worm disease, skin and ear infections, and even underwent surgery to fix her eyelids. Now she's ready to bring love and snuggles to her new family. Sweet Potato gets along well with big and small dogs, and loves people. However, she's not suitable for homes with cats, as she thinks they're toys. If you're ready to welcome a loving companion into your life, Sweet Potato is the perfect choice. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a volunteer-powered, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
