My Story

****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AFTER 11/26 ***BEING TREATED FOR 2 TICK BORNE ILLNESSES (LYME & ANAPLASMOSIS) Tacoma is a gorgeous 12 year young Pit Bull Terrier that came to our care after her owner could not properly care for her. Tacoma was suffering from hair loss due to fleas and her skin was itchy and irritated. Treated for fleas and having medicated "SPA" baths has her skin healing and her gorgeous chocolate coat growing back in. Tacoma is a petite gal at around 35lbs she has put on some much needed weight since she came to us and has few more pounds to put on to be at an ideal healthy weight. She loves her wet food and treats. Tacoma's most favorite thing is to cuddle up on a couch and nap. She loves people and can be picky with dog friends, it just takes her a bit to warm up. She has done well in our cat room! She is a senior lady that just wants a calm, quiet home. She likes to keep her kennel clean and was said to be housebroken in her previous home. Tacoma suffered an injury to her one front paw early in her life leaving her with a wee bit of nub. She walks well but the paw makes it a little awkward for her. So while she likes to be active, she is a low activity kind of gal. Like out to potty, maybe hang out for a bit and she wants to come back in and cuddle!!! Tacoma has been spayed, microchipped and Heartworm tested. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. She has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention.
