Tara

Tara is a Kerry Blue Terrier who will be 11 years old in January 2025. Her senior owner passed away recently and the owner's family cannot keep Tara permanently. As with many senior pets, Tara has some health issues that will need to be given by her adopter. She has Cushing's disease and will need maintenance medications that keep her healthy. Tara is loving and seeks affection. Per her breed, she can be stubborn and not thrilled with other dogs. She is being fostered with other dogs and does well with them. However, she can be dominant towards them and needs consistent redirecting until she is acclimated. Tara is still very active and would be a perfect companion dog to someone who is home most of the time. Tara would love to spend her final years with someone who is attentive to her needs and doesn't mind a little quirkiness. As earlier stated, maintenance meds are a must.
