ID 57742335 This handsome distinguished gentleman of about 8ish + yrs of age found himself at the shelter after his owner passed away. Tarkin is a slow mover when out on walks but he also would benefit to lose some weight which is the best thing for him and his joints as he settles into his very senior years. He also might show more pep in his step and overall his health will improve. Tarkin is for sure a mix of breeds and has lower energy at this point. He is just looking for a space to settle in, get his exercise in, hang out with his human friend and enjoy sunny days outside and warm nights inside in the winter on a comfy dog bed. He did have a canine housemate but he isn’t really looking to live with another super playful dog. He might just enjoy co-existing with another pooch in a home which is why we require a meet and greet with any resident dog currently in a home. Dogs age just like people so we try to make sure that it is understood that an older dogs tolerance may decrease at times with another dog in their space or in their face. If you can give this grey muzzled boy a new home and work on getting his physique in shape to help him live a long life…. Come on down and meet him…
