Tasha

Tasha the 3-year-old husky-mix spent almost a full year at animal control before becoming a Mitten Mutt in the fall of 2023. We don't know why she was there for so long because she is the sweetest girl! She was adopted by a single person, but returned 15 months later after her world had been turned upside down with the addition of 3 children and a newborn. It was a lot to happen at once and her owner wanted to do what was best for her, so she is back with us. She loves to cuddle and play fetch and is obsessed with any toy that squeaks! Tasha likes other dogs but has not been around cats. We can cat-test her upon request. Tasha is looking for a mellow and calm home, she would love to be a homebody and be with her family. She would not do well in a chaotic home with young children but should do just fine with older kids who can respect her surroundings. She is loyal and a total sweetheart, she loves her family and will make a wonderful pet. Huskies tend to be high-energy dogs, but Tasha is not! She is not your typical husky. She is really chill and likes to hang out and get pets and attention more than anything else in the world! She loves her toys but otherwise is a calm girl. She is treat and food-motivated so she is very easy to train, but is already trained so there isn't much she hasn't learned! She is housebroken and crate trained, but also does well left loose in the home! A fenced yard and breed experience are preferable, but due to her relaxed nature, we will still consider those without breed experience.
